Don Tapa is now located within The Mantle, however the project was first a pop-up restaurant in Victoria Quay, Fremantle. The objective was to activate a forgotten part of the port with an exciting restaurant and bar by using a cost efficient and innovative structure. The result was an architecturally designed, converted 20” shipping container, reclaimed timber furniture, serving Latin American food and cocktails, which were enjoyed by many who wouldn’t usually visit that part of the city. Future Cities developed the concept, design, approvals, health and liquor licensing, construction, fit-out and furniture.
